Rev. Alsey T. Williams is a native North Carolinian where he graduated from the Wilson County School System. After high school Rev. Williams served his country as a Signal Soldier in the United States Army. It was during his first tour of duty that he received his call to ministry. He soon married Michelle Staton and began a family while seeking Gods will for his life and ministry.
Rev. Williams has pastored for 25+ years. On April 7th 2013 Rev. Williams began services at the John Thomas building on 3rd Avenue and established the Empowerment Temple A.M.E. Zion Church. God has since blessed Empowerment Temple to grow both spiritually and, numerically. They currently worship at the Arc of Anchorage 2211 Arca Drive, Anchorage, Alaska 99504 each Sunday at 11:00 AM. They also air a weekly television show on KYES Channel 5 called the Empower Hour from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
On August 20, 2017 Rev. Williams was elevated to the servant leadership office of the Presiding Elder of the Alaska/Fairbanks District of the Alaska Annual Conference by Bishop Staccato Powell.
